I’m over the terror, I’m over the wrought
I’m over the have, I’m over the not
I’m over the weight, I’m over the lines
(I’m way overdue on my library fines!)
I’m over extended, I’m overly bored
I’m over attention, I’m over ignored
I’m over the constant, I’m over the still
I’m over the rainbow, and over the hill
I’m over and under, and over and out
I’m overly certain, and filled with self-doubt
I’m overly whelmed, and I’m overly blue
Yet day after day
I get over that too.

“Over” was published on Huffington Post in 2014 in a collection called “Featured Fifty Poetry.” Lisa passed on September 8th, only a week after being diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. Though she must have known she was very ill, she kept it mostly to herself. Lisa is survived by her beloved son Zach, sister Ann, nephew Jason, two grand nephews, and her furry friend Supercat. She was preceded in death by her father Jerry, stepfather Gene, and mother Lou.
Lisa had an enormous heart and amazing sense of humor, which she used to bring joy to others and deflect the pain in her own life. Lisa was especially compassionate toward children and animals and was generous to a fault. She had a lifelong love of music, classic television, theater, and film. She was a gifted storyteller and writer.
Lisa was loved by many and will be missed more than she could ever know.
